The Giver Edition - Give and it will come back to you...

Hi!! Welcome to my Blog! This is the first post ever, of 2020. I hope you’re in your home nice and comfy, and above all, healthy.

During these times , we can all agree we are going through some really tough times. And it’s during these times that my faith is shaken and even better, strengthened.

I always think, “what would my Nana say?” or “What would Nana do??”

My maternal grandmother is known (because we still talk about her to this day to everyone we know) for being a happy, go-getter, free spirit, and God fearing giver. If you were to know her story, you’d might be shocked that she was even able to turn the other direction and give a smile where anger and tears were probably expected (I honestly don’t even know her story…but I know enough to wonder how could she be that happy). She was a strong woman. She was a great example to me and continues to be of the hope we can find in God; and one characteristic of hers that stuck out the most, to me and was often present in every situation of her life, she was a giver. She was not just a giver, a happy giver. I just remember every day she would offer her kindness to me and offer her ear and be a giver of her time and sweet gestures. She also had a great sense of humor. I am pretty sure I get a lot of my passion for life from her. One of my favorite memories of her was when she would come visit us and then say, “Dance with me!” To be honest, I was so weirded out by it in the beginning. Growing up in a legalistic church, we weren’t allowed to dance. Yet, my Nana would encourage it and her light and love for God didn’t seem to make it awkward either. She was a true example of God’s love in her life and poured out into others. Thank you Nana, for giving so much of yourself. Not just to those you loved, but to those who were also strangers.

Through these current events I realize we are all going through this. Not all of us struggle the same, but the struggle is ever present during these challenging times in every single one of our lives.

With that being said, I want to continue her legacy. I love that I can share a part of my life with you through this short story. If you’re in need of anything and I am able to help in any way shape or form, please contact me via email!

If you’d love to join me, I would also love to give you an opportunity to be a Giver! In this Giver edition, your purchase of a session will count as two sessions. One for you, and the other for a loved one or someone in need. It is a huge blessing! I also want to honor your giving by putting your name on “The Giving Wall” with a short message that gives you hope and one that you’d love to share and spread around.

Please contact me and let me know if you’d like to book a session. Once we get through these times together we will connect and book your Portrait session for 2020!
